As we made our way to Stony Point by horse and carriage, "a trip of long duration and endless trails and ruts," 29 miles north of Manhattan, our excitement was bursting over; we always have sought such a residence with pastures of hay and barns for our horses... a 12+ acre family estate with a large 2 acre pond at our footstep, this was just the dream. As Overgard would lock himself in his spacious home studio and work from 9pm to 6am, it's hard to imagine a piece of comic art, made in this very studio which still remains in tact today (custom drafting desks, books, artifacts, original drawings and all), became the basis of a Roy Lichtenstein painting that sold at auction for $43 million......
