Helena Geron has been an agent with Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty for almost two decades, continuing a family legacy that began with her mother, Lucy Demert, an associate broker and an agent with Daniel Gale for over 35 years. As her mentor and partner, they have successfully helped many people with the sale of their homes from Queens to the North Fork of Long Island. In addition to being a licensed real estate representative, Helena holds the designation of Certified Buyers Representative along with a recently acquired certification as a home stager, embodying the well-rounded expertise to help both buyers and sellers reach their goals.

Prior to making the decision to pursue a real estate career, Helena honed her skills in sales and people management while working as a corporate recruiter with a prominent, international law firm in New York City. Her expertise further developed in a similar role of undergraduate and MBA recruiting while at the New York office of the global management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company, Inc. Because of her responsibilities of coordinating interviews and meeting with potential recruits and consultants from around the world for schools such as MIT, Brown, and Wharton, Helena was able to build an extensive international network of former colleagues and friends to draw from in her work as a realtor.

Being a 3rd generation Manhasset resident, Helena’s appreciation of her roots and her in-depth knowledge of the local architecture and real estate market is reflected in the satisfaction of her clients. She’s able to find just the right home to meet both their lifestyle and financial needs. Helena especially enjoys helping buyers who are interested in purchasing a home for the first time, or who may be considering relocating from New York City. She loves helping people, and her work in real estate allows her this opportunity, along with meeting people from all walks of life. Helena feels that her approach of learning from everyone she meets has given her the means to continue to be successful in anything she pursues. She has also learned that successful interactions in business require organization and efficiency while still being warm and engaging. She focuses on quality by not overextending herself just to make the most deals. It is about balance and getting the job done to everyone’s satisfaction.

While Helena enjoys helping her buyers and sellers reach their goals, Helena’s passion lies in spending time with her three sons, twins in their 20s and a very active eight-year-old. In her other spare time, she volunteers at St. Mary’s Church in Manhasset teaching CCD classes, attends Jazz Festivals pretty regularly, and one day she knows that she’ll finish writing that best-selling historical mystery novel. Helena will also do just about anything for the opportunity to play in a tennis match with her idol, Roger Federer.
