Steve Sallion

Steve Sallion has deep roots in Brooklyn, from being born at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital to graduating from the renowned Brooklyn Technical High School. He is fiercely proud of his Brooklyn heritage and can often be heard shouting "Brooklyn" loudly at Nets basketball games.

With extensive experience as both a Wall Street veteran and entrepreneur, Steve's business dealings have been highlighted in several prominent publications such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Fortune Small Business and even earning him a spot on the cover of Black Enterprise magazine. He has also shared his knowledge and insights on entrepreneurship and real estate investing at prestigious institutions like Wharton Business School, Columbia University, and Harvard Business School. Furthermore, Steve leveraged his background in finance and his connections around the world by joining Sotheby’s International Realty to take full advantage of the opportunities it could offer him.

Currently living in Prospect Heights, minutes from the Barclays Center, Steve has a wealth of experience in the Brooklyn real estate market, having personally bought and sold property in the area for over 20 years. He holds dual licenses in both residential and commercial real estate, licensed with DGNY Commercial. He firmly believes that a home is a crucial foundation for any family's financial portfolio, and he takes the time to educate his clients on the value of the housing market when it comes to real estate transactions. Steve takes pride in being certified as a New York Residential Specialist (NYRS) by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), which represents the highest level of accomplishment in residential real estate.

Steve graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Economics, giving him a solid educational foundation in the field. His knowledge of macro and microeconomic principles, as well as his understanding of the financial economy, helps him provide valuable insights and evaluate real estate transactions effectively, which is particularly beneficial to his clients.

Steve is deeply involved in his community, taking an active role by participating in Community Board 8 for Prospect Heights and Crown Heights in Brooklyn, serving on the advisory board for the Daniel Gale Foundation, being a founding board member of Black Luxury Agents Collective, Inc. (BLAC), an organization for black agents at Sotheby’s, and being a board member of MoCADA, a museum for rising artists of the African Diaspora. He also contributes to the community by dedicating a portion of his annual income to philanthropic endeavors.

When not focusing on real estate, Steve has a passion for discovering new cuisines and restaurants. He also prioritizes his physical fitness, keeping active by riding his mountain bike in Prospect Park and going to the gym. He has a love for travel, frequently embarking on international trips, and makes it a point to visit his family back home in Trinidad, West Indies, every year.
