Well, it certainly was a whirlwind at last Wednesday's closing, and I didn't really get the opportunity to tell you how happy you have made us. We started this journey just before springtime and a little over 2 months later we had a great offer. Your guidance and suggestions AND pricing the house fairly made all the difference. We loved our life living in Locust Valley, but it was time to move on. You made our dreams come true. You really stand out in a profession that is glutted with agents. You were extremely professional, but did so with a warm sense of humor. Again, Kurt and I can not thank you enough for making this process painless.

I had the pleasure of working with Cottie Maxwell when purchasing my new home in Sands Point, New York earlier this year. I hired her as my broker after interacting with her regarding a different potential home purchase of one of her listed properties. I was so impressed by her knowledge, poise, presence and integrity that I retained Cottie as my buy-side agent after I decided not to purchase her listing (at no fault of hers).

I have purchased many properties over the years and lead financial transactions as an occupation. My experience with Cottie was undoubtedly the best experience I have had with a real estate agent. She performed unprompted research that was very helpful in quickly finding the perfect home as well as with respect to formulating and executing the ultimate negotiating strategy. She had tremendous relationships and insight that she leveraged to help broker the deal. We have just closed on our house in Brookville, and Cottie was our broker. We could not recommend her more highly.
We started planning to sell our house in late 2019, and put it on the market in early 2020 just in time for COVID to hit. Our timing was unfortunate but Cottie helped us manage through it, both the preparation and the sale process.

She was very proactive in the preparation. She was able to describe the house to differentiate it, helped us prepare the house so it showed at its best (eg removing clutter, getting an engineer’s report so we could fix things that would be negatives to a buyer), produced a beautiful video, and rallied other brokers to find potential buyers. Our house was not an easy one to price but she did her research and involved her colleagues to help advise us given the difficult environment.

She also managed the sale process very smoothly with minimum disruption to us. We were away for part of the time but gave her keys and trusted her totally. She also managed potential buyers to minimize disruption while we were there and she truly represented us as sellers when negotiating with potential buyers, obtaining our asking price rather than desperately trying to get the sale.
Cottie is highly experienced, knowledgeable, a good listener and adept in her manifold abilities. In short, she is terrific and we could not have asked for more.

We all know that the market circumstances of the last several years have been possibly the most difficult since the Depression of the 30's-notwithstanding, your advice and service were always enthusiastic, accurate and prompt.  You used frequent advertising and numerous "open houses" for other brokers which included appealing buffet lunches was to encourage greater broker participation.  During the many showings of the property never once were you late or unable to be present.
