Her children attended the Locust Valley schools where she was an active member of the Parent Councils and the Locust Valley School Board. In addition she volunteered for the Center for Parents and Children in Glen Cove, the Grenville Baker Boys and Girls Club and the Girl Scouts of America. Madeleine was also Co-Director of the Adult Education program at LVCSD geared to promote life-long learning, something that she is passionate about.
