About Jennifer
Jennifer Woods is a native Long Islander and has spent a good chunk of her life on the stunning and storied North Shore. As an adolescent, Jennifer attended Friends Academy in Locust Valley. After a turn in Pennsylvania for college (Go Lehigh!), several years living in Manhattan, and a stint in Boston, she returned to the area, settling down in Glen Cove, where she’s been for the last 13 years. Jennifer has always had a passion for both real estate and home design, though her career didn’t start there.

Following college, she spent 15 years as a financial journalist, writing for publications including The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and TheStreet.com. In 2009, Penguin Group published her book on exchange-traded funds. Jennifer took a brief hiatus after that, to raise twin girls and five rescue puggles, but was soon ready to take on a new venture. In 2015, she opened Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa in the vibrant town of Rockville Centre. Once the spa began to thrive, she was finally able to pursue her true passions. Jennifer attended the Metropolitan Institute of Design, earning a degree in interior design. Immediately following, she began a massive renovation of her century-old, Cotswold-style house, a project which was later featured in House Magazine. She subsequently purchased her first investment property, a house in the Catskills, which she is currently renovating and will convert to a short-term rental.
Jennifer’s background as a business owner, interior designer, real estate investor, and journalist - she can write a killer property description – enables her to offer clients a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ensure their real estate experience is of the highest caliber. As the gold standard for Long Island real estate, Jennifer is thrilled to be a part of the Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty family.
