With her accurate sense of the market, Janet listed and sold our house in one weekend (with multiple offers on the table). Janet Marcus is the most incredible real estate agent we have ever had experienced in the process of selling our home. From start to finish, from the original listing, the marketing, the staging, overseeing minor repairs, from attending every single potential showing,  for selecting the most promising purchaser, from negotiating the final contract, Janet performed an outstanding and incredible job of taking this home from the initial listing to a final sale.

Janet is incredibly knowledgeable, joyful and a wonderful experience to work with. I only wish I had another house for her to sell. Anyone would be very fortunate to have her as their real estate broker.

Janet Marcus is an amazing real estate agent and I highly recommend her to everyone and anyone. She helped my husband and I navigate a very challenging Manhasset real estate market in the middle of Covid where there was little to no inventory. She is transparent, honest, proactive, informative, well connected etc- all the attributes you need for a big purchase like this in a competitive market. Beyond that, her work ethic is impeccable. Along with helping me buy my new house, she also listed our old house in Great Neck- timed everything to perfection and catered to every detail without us asking because she thought of it first. We sold our house very quickly and it was nice to be able to let go and let her lead. She treated us like old close friends / family when she didn’t even know us well. She had our back - advising us every step of the way. Given the inventory wasn’t great during Covid, it actually took us a lot longer than we anticipated to find our home…over a year. She never lost patience with us and stood by us for our benefit, open house after open house. One of the homes we loved fell through due to a failed inspection so we had to pass. The next one, the home owners were emotional/volatile and changed their minds during the contract process and again we had to start over. Without Janet, it would have been so much harder and finally third try was the charm and that’s the current home I’m in. I appreciate her so much, beyond words in a review. We can't say enough good things about our experience with Janet. As first-time house sellers, working with Janet made the daunting task of selling our parents' house as easy as possible. She guided and assisted us throughout the entire process from day one through the closing. We trusted her completely.

Janet gave us great advice about things we could do to our house to make it look brighter and to accentuate its size and all its positive features, and she was cost-conscious in all of her suggestions, many of which cost us nothing at all. As a professional stager, Janet put time and care into making our house look warm and inviting and brought many of her own personal items for accents. She expertly advised us on all aspects of selling our home including paint colors, contractors, arranging for a grass cutter, securing required documents from the town (Janet even did the leg work on this for us, as we live a distance away), timing for entering the market, and most importantly, pricing. When we decided to sell our house in South Strathmore, Janet provided sound advice around marketing strategies and pricing, leading to multiple bids that led to a sale price over asking.  Janet also represented us on our purchase in Munsey Park.

She knows the neighborhood and the market conditions, and would make sure we knew what was coming on before it was on MLS.   She helped us navigate a very competitive bidding process and we ultimately purchased the house we wanted.

I was referred to Janet Marcus by good friends who sold a Coop apartment in Great Neck a few years ago and who had nothing but great things to say about the job Janet did with selling their apartment.  I reached out to Janet in August 2018 to introduce myself because I was looking to sell my apartment which I was subletting to a tenant until October 1, 2018.

I cannot express how great of a job Janet did from my first conversation with her to the closing with the sale of my Coop apartment in January 2019.  Janet is extremely knowledge, professional and went ABOVE AND BEYOND in every aspect with regards to the sale of my apartment.  She provided me with great advice on the situation with my tenant, she provided tremendous feedback on what upgrades and repairs I should make to the apartment, she referred me to a real estate attorney she works closely with who also did an exceptional job with assisting me and who works very well with Janet.

We decided to return to Great Neck Plaza after twenty years of living in NJ. After contacting brokers at several major real estate firms, I could not quite settle on anyone.  By sheer luck, Janet happened to return the phone message I left at Daniel Gale.  As soon as we started speaking, my gut instinct told me I found the right person.  And sure enough, I was right! Janet has extensive expertise not just of all North shore communities in general, but of Great Neck in particular.

I rarely write reviews but we had such an amazing experience with our real estate professional Janet Marcus, that it warranted it.  We were under the gun to find something fairly quickly as our other place was being sold and Janet was on top of finding us as close to what we wanted as possible, and she was completely on point.

She was responsive, intelligent about the area, sweet and stood by our side in every step of the process, especially with an extremely difficult seller. In fact, she did everything in her power to make us feel comfortable with our purchase. I can't recommend her enough.

Janet was a marvelous and attentive agent for us.  She did everything to perfection, from staging our home, working with contractors, solving knotty problems, and, of course, finding us a buyer.
